Hải Phòng topped Việt Nam’s FTA Index 2025, becoming the only locality rated ''very good'' as the second annual assessment highlights progress in how provinces and cities implement trade commitments and help businesses tap into FTA opportunities.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade is focusing on improving provinces’ capabilities in helping local businesses take advantage of free trade agreements such as the UKVFTA and EVFTA, including by issuing a FTA Index by the end of 2023.
The free trade agreement index (FTA Index) was expected to an impetus for localities to a favourable environment for enterprises and enable them to take advantage of free trade deals.
